Question Tires/ Brake Pads Replacement

I have an 06 Wide Glide that needs some 2 new tires. I have done a search and and it seems that a few folks like the Michelin's and am leaning that way. There was mostly posts about the touring folks liking the Michelin's. The stock dunlops give me 13900 miles and wore very evenly both the front and rear. While the wheels are off should I have anything else done? I was thinking maybe the brake pads should be replaced since they are starting to get a little noisy. Do they surface the rotors when you put new pucks in or just replace them too? Nothing is really wrong just hate paying twice for the same work in a few thousand miles. Appreciate any input or guidance I can receive.

If the brake pads are getting thin - replace them. I leave the rotors alone unless they are scored or warped. In that case, I replace them.

If I got 13K and even wear from a tire I would replace it with the same. Brakes are easy to inspect and replace w/o removing the wheel. Motorcycle rotors are thinner than car rotors and I've never heard of turning them. Like RH8234 said just replace it if damaged. (Like if it the wheel is off and leaning against a stand and falls over!)

I just replaced my Dunlops with Metzlers. I only got about 9K from the rear Dunlop (mostly 2 up riding). For about $20 more per tire, I decided to try something different.

Guys,

Thanks for your replies on my question. The work thing got in the way of keeping up with this thread today. Will definitely look at the Lyndall Z+ Pads. And will have the wheel bearings closely inspected.

Just ordered new tires today, got the same as OEM, dunlops for my 07. and Lyndall Z pads for the front..
Dennis Kirk was the best price I could find.

Looked the the Elite 3's but they don't make the right size for the rear yet,,

10k on rear, Both rears got around 10k, 2nd now Gone.
19.6k on front, org tire and still could go more.

replaced rear pads at 16k, and now putting front on at 20k
