Harley Discount
this is my first post. please do not mark me as a cheapskate. i am wondering if any HD dealers sell below MSRP?? i own an 01 Goldwing and an07 Stratoliner S. Have gone through 2 V-Stars and a VTX. i love the bikes, but the Harleys are great looking bikes and the Harley family is something. our local dealer is a great business person and good friendly person. sponsers many events and rides for local HOG. i am looking at the Ultra Classic. my son had one and i rode it several times. have also rented a Softail Classic and a Roadking Classic. like all three. would not go to a different dealer for a few $$. local Goldwing dealer discounts Goldwings about 3 K. any help greatly appreciated.

Judging from many of the posts I've seen there are many dealers in other parts of the country that sell at or above MSRP.
To the best of my knowledge, most dealers in this area only sell MSRP. You have to look at what they will add to sweeten the deal beyond that. For example, Mancuso will give you a gift card with 10% of what ever you spend on extra's. Spend an extra $5,000 on add on's and they give you a gift card worth $500.
My suggestion is when you are ready to pull the trigger, call around to the dealers in Houston and tell them if you want to buy a bike today, what would they do for you. I bought a bike from Stubbs over the phone in 04. Was happy to negotiate MSRP on an 05 wwhen they had just come out. Back then they were selling for 5 to 10 percent over list and had a waiting list. I was happy to get MSRP. ( sad, isn't it? )
I know of at least 9 dealerships in Houston and the surrounding area. If you can convince them you are ready to buy today and they have the bike you want in stock, I'm sure you could get them to throw in something.
Good luck!
It's gonna take some barganing and always remind them you got options.
They want to sell them just as much as you want to buy one! if not more so.
Good Luck!
