Thumbs down ABS on harleys
ABS works ok on a straight stop and in 4 wheeled cars..but i trail brake all the time and i wouldnt like it on my harley...shimmy round a bend..**** dat!!

Sounds like Harley has some work to do on their ABS systems. I never rode a Hog with ABS, but if they could get it to work as good as BMW or Kawasaki's ABS they would gain some acceptance among the Harley crowd.

What is wrong with the ABS on Harleys?

I have read/heard nothing but praise about the system.

I've never ridden a bike with ABS on it. But the principle of ABS is not so you can stop better. It's so you can reduce speed without losing traction WHILE you're making sudden movements to avoid an obstacle. That said, I hate ABS. I'd rather just slow down and ride to the conditions.

Hmmm, I have ABS on my '08 RK and love it. Another thread on people that hate or like ABS on a Harley and most of those who hate it (ABS), don't have it. Go figure.

ABS works as an on/ off braking method...but i would doubt its worth on ANY bike
let alone a harley

performance riding im taking about..not grandpa on a sunday ride

I love it when someone says they never rode a bike with abs and then claim it doesn't work. My bike has abs and my next bike will have it too. BMW, Harley or any other Abs isn't perfect although the Honda Cbr600rr c-abs or 1000 may be close.
