Custom/Leather Saddlebags on 08 Road King Standard
I have a 08 Road King Standard and i have been thinking to replace hardbags with leather saddlebags that classics come with or custom ones. The custom ones i find on ebay are usually taken off of 04-05 model toruing bikes. They all tell me that it would fit on my bike, but im not sure. I need to know what exactly i can buy that would fit my bike with no problem. Please help. Much appreciated. Jake

I would check with your local Harley dealer first. Find out exactly what you need from them and then start looking around. DO NOT trust what anyone on Ebay tells you. Most of them have no idea what will work and what won't. Good luck.

RK Custom bags will fit on your bike with no mods. I did the opposite and changed mine to hard bags with no issues. I had to adjust the top brackets which is easy as you loosen the bolt, put your bags on then tighten the bolt. Hey I also have a set of RK Custom bags if you want them.
