Here at Fort Belvoir we had an old lady driving with her husband (in passenger seat) into the gas station, she came around the gas pump and side swiped the metal posts protecting the pump and then she powered through the turn scratching the already scratched Honda Accord to hell. She then came around and again hit the metal posts again on the other side. She got out like nothing happened and pumped her gas. I flagged the cops down because frankly she should not be driving. The cop spoke to her and let her go.....
They need to take the license of people like that. Sure they need to get around but I can't tell you how many Access vans, cars, and busses I see everyday.
So the base I work on has tons of older retired people driving all over & today one of them did their best to try & hit me.
What saved my a$$ was just being "on edge" as I entered the parking lot.
Turning left to make my way to the bike parking area this older lady comes screaming around with cell phone in one hand, head turned looking to wave at her friends walking. Could see "dangerous" all over her car in my minds eye.
... even that relaxing ride out in the country is becoming the headache of dealing with those speeding or just plugged into thier damn cell phones, or riding my break light...
Anyone else ??? Finding that the fun ride is becoming that stress ride?
The answer to you question for me is, No. You sound pissed at some of the responses and supporting advice that these fine people on this forum where giving to the question you asked. Do what you gotta do as far as what your gonna ride. Hope you get unstressed. HARLEY RULES. Be aware, Be safe and Be an unstressed rider
