RedWings are hard to beat but if your looking for an alternative to regular boots look at the Vasque line of hiking boots, very comfortable and high quality.
I wear my Vasques most of the time. I like being in a comfortable walking boot/shoe when I get off the bike.

Depends on what you like and what you want to spend. Wesco are great but expensive. I have a new pair for sale in the Classified forum for about half price in size 12EE. For everything you want or need to know about good boots see www.boot.com, or for more on Wesco, see wescoboots.com. Most boots will outlive their owner.
i just bought a pair of HD President Boots from workingperson.com they were like 50 bucks cheaper than the HD dealer. they are nice boots and have mesh ventalation and zippers. my other riding boots are all leahter wolverines, these HD boots are made by wolverine...
Just got a new pair of Chippewa for riding/workboots, and theyre great. Broke in real easy, very comfortable, not real heavy despite being steel toe, and great to ride in (oil/heat resistant sole). About $120, but worth it. They also have a service to refurb the boots once they get beat up for $60.
Never skimp on your footwear or your eyewear is my motto. You have to be able to walk and see where you are going. If either one is uncomfortable, life is hell. I have Redwings. I can wear them all day and still be walking at the end of the day. Mine are waterproof and oil resistant, and they look great.

cuiserworks....had them for a year now, feels like your in your socks they are so light. wear them for 15 hours a day on concrete sometimes....awesome. also will keep u dry even if u wanted to walk in the ocean for a few days. i had danner recon boots before that, same thing awesome boots but they did leak a little after 2 years....but then again they both sell for like 250. but you feet will blow you
Redwings are good. Had a pair for years. They never actually wore out, I just got tired of them, so I gave them away. That said, I wear 5.11 Tactical very durable, lightweight high quality (police/tactical) boot. They are made to run in, scale walls, wick away moisture, water tight and they even have a built in sheath to carry a pocket knife. Not that I'd ever think of doing such a thing, mind you. Just saying..... Aside from 5.11 Tactical, I own 2 pair of HD boots. One is a traditional calf high motorcycle boot and the other is a zip up ankle boot. Both are well made and comfortable, but neither compare to the 5.11 Tactical for everyday wear.
