Steel toe Doc Marten's or if my knee detects rain it's Danner.
I buy a new pair of Doc Marten's every year. The old pair become work boots at the shop and the new are for out and about. The Danner's get re-soled as needed.

I have a pair of Harley western style boots and they have been the best pair I have had to date. Just don't buy HD boots at the stealer. There are plenty of indy retailers that sell for way less than the dealer. Got mine for $120 and the Harley MSRP was $200.
West Coast Boot, expensive is relative in that you buy these once. They take a while to break in but once that is done the boots fit like glove and you can where them all day. I wear the fire stormer even in California during summer no issues.
I have to go along with those who recommend Docs. I've worn Danner and Docs. I can wear the Docs all day whether i'm riding, working, or just messing around. They need very little breaking in and are very comfortable. They're good boots and last a long time. They work for me. Whatever you choose, go with comfort, support and durability. Good luck!
