Just hit 15,000 miles on my '08 heritage. The bike is still bone stock, pipes, everything. At 4,000 miles I remember thinking the sound was improving quite a bit. That has continued, and this season (10-15k miles) it's sounding frikken great plus I can feel the engine loosening up a LOT. Very snappy response. This is nothing like the brand-new bike I rode last spring! I use dino oil but am thinkin its time to go syn.
Anyone else leave a bike alone long enough to feel it break in?
Mine is bone stock except for the seat and a few bling items. Had it for 7 months and am approaching 17,000 miles. I commute daily 135 miles a day and it keeps getting better I agree. She's running like a champ and I like it stock as-is.

not stock, but around 10k with just stg1 I could feel an improvement..
with all the problems the new 96" had in 07 by all the nay-sayers, I'am surprised Urs hasn't burnt or fell apart by now.. good to hear Ur's has gone 15k and its running better.
