So we are riding up, Me on my 07 EG, 2 Goldwingers and 2 on ST1300's, One of the guys on the ST was talking a little trash about HD and i ignored somewhat...He was bragging a bit about being able to ride any kind of bike anywhere anytime....bla bla bla ...We come off the Blue ridge Pkwy at Little Switzerland and headed down 226A towards Marion...Pretty nice twisty road and i do ride pretty aggressive...I am in the back enjoying the ride and i hear my buddy saying come on pass me if you want some of this hill...He does...1 minute later it's " Tom's down, Tom's down" I say Chit...............I hope he's ok but selfish me was saying too...My freaking nice weekend just got $$&*^*((*&Q%%E%....He was ok...busted a mirror, signal....and right side of the bike...Big wake up...he was able to ride away...54 years old, already had a open heart surgery... I said man you don't have to prove anything to anybody....Rode to the Hotel, he took a shower...slept it off..I went to the bar..Crown Royal...Chill...All is well...850 miles 2 days...Beautiful weather and scenery....
How interesting that the trash talker ended up crashing. Glad he's not hurt but I hope he was properly embarassed and won't talk smack abouot harleys anymore. Only thing that would have been better would have been for you to drop some rice under his downed bike and tell him it started leaking after he went down.
