I think lowered bikes look completely goofy. Not even a little bit cool.

LOL....This is funny because I also could never understand the purpose of lowering any vehicle. I can understand for true racing applications but for the street...really.
I lowered mine and I love it. Yeah, the boards scrape a little sooner, so what? Yeah it rides a little rougher, who cares? But damn, it looks sooooo much better.
