I have a 07 RK with the noisy 5th gear, and I really don't mind it all that much. It sounds the way it does because that's the way straight cut gears sound. If someone offered me two bikes, one with the old trans and one with the new trans, I can honestly say the trans wouldn't be a deciding factor in making a choice. 'Course, I don't ride an E-glide, and I understand the noise is quite a bit louder.

Did your's come with the blackwall tires? That's what I like, but the website only shows white walls.
Hey Danny, yes my bike came with the blackwall tires, if you get the chrome profile lace (spoke) wheels then it comes with the whitewalls.
They got a red one first, the new red color, its called scarlet red, looks like it has too much orange in it, and it had the profile wheels and white walls.
Im not digging the white walls myself.
This blue is called flame blue and it actually has like a metalic in it, really looks good in the sunlight.

Aw, gotcha. Thanks for the info. Whitewalls look okay, but are just too much trouble to keep looking nice.

Like I said, really nice looking bike. Hope you get some free time soon. That would kill me. But, at least it's there and you can drool on, er, over it.

Just got back from a 60 mile ride, and had a blast.
Inlaws called and said bring little man over so you can ride your new bike some, "YES"

Anyhow I am prob. going to see some miles rack up now, cause I can see me in the saddle a whole lot more!

Fireman -- Congrats on the new bike. Looks great. I just bought my RKC in Jan, and looked hard at the Heritage. I rode both and the Heritage was a very nice ride. The reason I chose the RKC was for ABS and Cruise. Now that I have rode it for 7 months or so I have the same issues. No problems when I am by myself (which is most of the time), but when the wife gets on the stops can be tricky at best. Not ready to make a change yet since I do really like the RKC, but can't say I hadn't thought about it. Ride safe.

Ok, dang it! On my way to work this morning on my new bike and 10 miles into my 20 mile trip, coming out of a small town, went to speed up and something dosent feel right.
Pulled over and dang it! back tire flat!
Called father in law and he brought the trailer and we took it home, dealer not open on mondays.
Get home from work tonight and jacked it up, tiny nail in tire!
I purchased the 1 yr extended warrenty with the tire warrenty, so tomorrow she goes to the dealer for a free tire fix.
What a way to break in a new bike!

That is a very nice scooter there. It's the first all blue Heritage I've seen. They are normally the two tone silver/blue. I like what I'm seeing. That paint definitely stands out in the sunlight.

Thank you Brad, the paint is metallic and really looks good in person with the sun shinning on it.
Seeing it in a picture really doesnt do it justice.

Congrats on new bike. I traded a 09 fatbob for the Heritage and I love it. Rides great 2 up and very easy to handle. I'm 5'7 @145 and wife is 5' @ 125,Heritage is heavier but much more comfortable and easier to hanlde than the Fatbob. Heritage is one sharp bike. Good deal.......

Took my new heritage in this morning to have the flat fixed.
Service writer called after lunch and told me it was ready.
When I went to get it they had put in a new tube, rubber strip and a new tire.
I asked him if the tire was bad and he said not really but since you got the tire warrenty why not let them buy you a new tire?
I told him thanx and took the long way home. Man it just feels good! This is a great riding bike.
I get a bonus in a couple months and I have already decided that at that time a set of mufflers are going on it.
