Don't have much to offer in the repair department, but wanted to commend both him for his spirit and motivation and you and your wife for going above and beyond to support him. Good people don't often get the praise they deserve and your support is probably more significant than you may realize. I hope that you guys get to share a ride together soon.
Hey G-Girl and Pops, welcome and thanks for the good wishes.
Bill does not have access to a computer in the home, but I'm sure he will be joining us here as soon as he is able. At least in a way he's already one of us - whether he wants to be or not. LOL
Hey COD I'm just wanting to say that I'm new to this forum and I just stumbled on to this thread, It's uplifting to see people like your wife and yourself that are willing to go out of their way to help someone else and more importantly someone that is or should I say was not a friend or family. Last night I read through this whole thread and it brought a tear to my eyes a couple of times and when I was done I made my wife read it and by the end she was crying. I wish that I could of helped a little myself because that's what I'm all about also. But again everybody that donated to Bill's cause you all are a bunch of kick *** people and you will be repaid ten foll just remember that. And If you and the wife and bill make it around the Glen Burnie, Maryland way please hit me up so I can buy you all some lunch and a beer or two you deserve more then that in my opinion.
Welcome Jim, and thanks for dropping the kind words. It feels good to hear that the emotional journey has been conveyed and enjoyed just as much as the progression of the bike. I hope you can stay tuned for an anticipated new beginning.
I popped off a quick note to Kuryakyn just to see... It may be a bit presumptuous of me, but it might pay off with a serious discount on some new pegs or some freebies. Heres's the note:
Good afternoon,
Im a member of HDForums and a number of the members here have all been working together to get a fellow rider back up after a nasty wreck that took his right leg. Weve pretty much got the bike back together from donations from members, but I have concerns about his prosthetic slipping off. I suggested a set of your heel stirrups. Heres the thread for your review. Anything you guys might be able to do to help out?
