Motorcycle vs. Bear

While I am glad the injuries to the rider weren't too severe, I had to laugh out loud when I read this.

Wonder where he was.... possibly up on White Pass? I was thinkin about going to Yakima tomorrow so reckon I better add bears to the list of things to watch out for....

There are lots of black bear in northwest NJ where I live, and it's no longer rare to see one on the road. A few months back I spotted two cubs crossing the road ahead of me. Fortunately I was going reasonably slow around a curve and didn't come close to hitting them. Had I made contact at slow speed I would have not have worried so much about getting hurt from the collision as much as Mama Bear giving me what fer while I was trying to pick up the bike. Deer, bear, cagers...everything is out to get us it seems.

I guess he will just have to grin and bear till his bike is fixed LOL! Sorry no bike crash is funny, but not many people can say they hit a bear.

I had a 200-250 pound grizzley "cub" charge my SUV in Yellowstone last week. Hit the left front wheel, left hair trapped in the tire bead and berry-filled bear poop all over the wheel well, but no other damage. Bear ran limping into the woods after. Bear "0", Dodge Durango "1"

must of been:

A. A small bear and a small bike, or
B. A large bear and a small bike or
C. Neither and the driver was smoking a fat one and though the gopher he missed was a bear.
