I doubt the RK will fit any better than the Ultra, apart from wing and touring pack same bike, also a stock RK will still feel slow to you considering you have a mod dyna with lots of power. I find you 'sit on' the RK as opposed to 'sitting in' on my a dyna and this gives a total different feel to the ride. I like them both but apart from fast motorway (freeway) riding I tend to cruise slower on the RK and it has a more layed back feel to me. I believe you can mod a ultra or king to get a more sit in position and of course mod out the engine, but the $$ start adding up compared to modding a dyna. Good luck.

**** was sore after a couple of hundred miles? What had your collective ***** been getting up to before then?

I did a twelve hour hit, seven days ago, going from middle England to Southern France...and my **** was as fresh as a daisy. Erm - well maybe not quite that fresh but there's no pain from the stock seat.

Oh I've got 1,000 mile days on my Dyna but don't feel like more than one of them in a row anymore. Age and back problems are making me look for something more comfortable for the long haul. I'm keeping my Dyna - it may go into the ground with me, , but what out there is more comfortable for the 2,000 mile to 5,000 trips I like to take?

I also realize that I'll have to oomph-up whatever motor I find to get the "Go" that I like.

I've rented Road Kings and Street Glides. Think I liked the Road King better than the SG. Think I'll try a Road Glide next. So far I have no intention of giving up my Softail for a Bagger.

I would think that most bikes would feel cramped after riding a Wide Glide. Lots of leg room on those.

Especially with extended controls. No way to get all of your weight onto your feet for a change of blood supply though. Unless......... anyone ever put foldup footboards or pegs down there for a tempory change of position? Is that even possible?

I've done a few 12 hour trips on my softail and a few 6 or so hour trips on a buddy's ultra. 10 days I'm leaving on a 15,000 km tour of the western US and Canada on this ultra. No worries at all for a sore *** seeing as it has one of those air zepplin seats so if my *** gets a little tired I can just change the air in the seat and I'm good to go. at 5'8" i have lots of room on it and the highway pegs just add that much more...the ultra however sucks *** for just quick around town trips because it's so much bigger anf heavier than my softail....I will be getting an ultra for my long trips but keeping my softail for the small ones.

I rented one when I flew to Phoenix and put 2000 miles on it in 4 days. I wasn't uncomfortable, and the bike ran without problems. BUT.......(it's hard to say this without making it sound like bragging) My 16 year-old 80-inch Evo bagger would eat that 96" for lunch. Doesn't seem to have any grunt in the bottom end. The newer frame didn't seem to make it handle any better than mine (mine is lowered) either.

Shifting back into neutral was difficult as well.
