Default More Cuts at MOCO

Heard on a Milwaukee radio station that Harley will announce that they are cutting 150 positions at the Design Center within the next couple of days. That's about 1/4 of the workforce there! These are the folks that are coming up with future models, not building current models that they are having trouble moving. Things must be pretty dire if they are eliminating people that are working on the future.

Of course I can't confirm this rumor...but it was from a reputable talk show host. Time will tell...

I agree its unfortunate they may be laying off the folks that work on the future. But net income fell by 83% from the first quarter to second. Not a surprise there's more blood-letting.

And this is a surprise? Times are hard all over, and people are getting frugal with their recreational $$...lesser bike companies are closing their doors for good all over the country...H-D has survived tough times before and they'll ride this out too...

As I was reading the OP I was doing the math also and saying to myself "well that still leaves 450 designers".

On the flip side, it's never a good time when anyone is losing their job.

And no wonder they're getting rid of a good bunch of them! After seeing the new Wide Glide, someone should be fired.
