I saw one on harleys web sight that was all blacked out ,exhaust, forks and of course you can buy all the extras from your harley dealer, but it sure looked bad a$$.
I love my bike just the way it is but if something terrible happened to it I might test one out. I love the way my bike handles, it is lowered and my palms face forward, I like that, can't stand swept back handlebars. When my friends ride it they don't want to give it back.
If anyone got the latest HOG mag, it's got a pic of one with the satin black Screamin' Eagle pipes on instead of the flat silver. Looks sick!
If we weren't watching $$ right now with the new kid and the new living room furniture we just got, I'd definitely be talking with the dealer about a trade from my 08 Street Bob.
I sat on the Fatboy at the dealer and it felt very comfortable, however I didn't like the bars. I'm used to the sit in feel of the Street Bob with the mini-apes. But I think if I ever got a Fatboy, putting some 12in bars on it would really make a difference in the feel. Probably good they don't already have them on it...or I'd be thinking a lot more about it.
It definately should have black mufflers, black lower forks, and black headlight bucket. THEN it would be blacked out. Right now it kind looks like a blind dude put it together.
I agree. And then there's the flat black parts along with the gloss black parts.
I saw one at a dealer and I think it looks real good the way H-D did it. Better than in the pix I'd seen. But I'm never opposed to further blacking.
As much as I bitch about certain things Harley does, I can't complain about the styling department lately.
I don't want to insult anyone but please take a closer look at one in the showroom. Some parts are gloss black, some are satin black, the satin chrome does not look like brushed aluminum it looks like cheap aluminum ceramic coating.
To me it looks like something thrown together from black accessories that didn't sell last year with no real design or plan.
A agree 100%, in photos it looks very cool but when I saw the real thing I was shocked that Harley would actually produce something like this.
