Just a personal preference. Think skulls and skeletons are pretty cool looking.

I like flames, but I never understood the appeal of skulls. On the other hand, I have seen some pretty tasteful custom paint work with skulls.

The way I always understood it was that the early bikers that came home from WWII had brought home a lot of souviners. Some of the best were the Skull's and crossbones from the ****'s SS. To decorate their bikes and show where they came from they attached these Skull's right from some SS officers Headgear! What stories I'm sure they could tell.
