I don't want to offend anyone but could someone tell me what the skulls and flames are all about? I realize different things appeal to different people, but I just don't get it.
Could somebody tell me what they mean to the motorcycle world?
Thanks
Initially we put skulls and flames on our bikes to intimidate the "civies" so we could enjoy the thrills of motorcycling all by ourselves. Nowadays unfortunately there are so many "civies" riding that the "hard core" bikers are seriously considering dropping the skull and flame motif in favor of a much MORE intimidating image of a stock certificate for shares in a failed Mortgage company.
Flames have been on hot rods for ages. Skulls just look cool for some. I guess it's one of those things where if you have to ask, you wouldn't understand.
I like skulls I like flames don't know why but I enjoy painting them I think they look cool and most ppl that I run into ask where did you get them done and when I explain I did them they are blown away not that they are great but they are my own
this is a piece that I am working on. on my bike it will be black and white I added color as a goof
