I have heard that compressed air works, even on old bikes. I have never tried it or seen it done, though.

i removed my Kury grip when i had the bar off by immersing the grip in a large plastic soda cup (not foam) of acetone. used a thin screw driver to pry the grip to allow the acetone to penetrate inside. after a few minutes the grip screwed right of easily. the acetone will desolve the glue. also of note, a couple of ounces of acetone in your gas will increase the octane.

Ok, the cage that encases the rubber is metal on the ISO's so I had to dremel it off by cutting the side bars. Then I cut the grip off with a knife & cleaned off the bars. I couldn't save the grip so I have one useless ISO throttle grip. Too bad, the grip is very high quality & a shame to waste. I'm surprised they don't make a non glue version like the OEM's.
