didn't know about the good rides through MTF. I have found some kickas* roads near rolla. Haven't hit them on the bike yet.
Anybody up for a stl area day trip?
It'd be great to organize an Illinois/Missouri forum ride, take a big cruise on one of the river roads. Maybe a little later this summer after the HDF rally? You guys should definitey try to come over to Effingham on the 17th!!
Anyone in the area going to Effingham? It looks to be relatively close...about 125 miles from my house. If interested let me know, sounds like a great time.
And after that we should definetely get together as a group for a day trip.
I have a cousin that just moved to Louisville. i was thinking I would ride to Louisville that Friday afternoon/eve. and then stop by the rally on the way home Saturday.
My wife is out of town until Sat. evening due to work and is has allowed me to finally get the weekend on the bike I have been waiting for. I will admit though, it would be more fun to ride to Effingham in a group rather than riding to Louisville solo and then doubling back to Effingham.
In other words, I haven't made up my mind yet.
Wally, Where about do you live?
I took Rte 3 south through the Shawnee Forest last fall. Came out in Union City, TN and spent one heck of a night in Memphis before coming home. That was great. Also, considering building a ride with buddies to go to the Smokies for the Tail of the Dragon. Anyoen else ever consider it?
Wild Wally
We be going to the rally in Effingham, plan to ride over to St. Louis Sunday and then go south on 3, what kind of town is Cape Girardeau? Looking for a stop over. Have you ever been down to Land Between the Lakes? Thought about going thru there on way back east, then toward Lexington.
