Women love to carry on about a man's "mid-life crisis".
That inherently denotes that it is pathological in nature.
I prefer to call it a "mid-life TRANSITION"

I'm going with "a permanent retreat to adolesence". Never really did grow up, just got chronologically older. Now the kids are responsible adults, so my wife and I can slip back into irresponsible behaviors; riding motorcycles as much as possible, taking two week road trips to find the best pastry shops within 500 miles, stuff like that.

The kids all think we're nuts...I remember thinking the same thing about them sometimes when they were growing up. I know we have more fun now than they do...Damn, that's cool!

26 here and i've been joans'n for a HD for at least 6 years......3yrs ago i got it..... i really hope i'm not goin threw a mid life crisis....that would be one short life
