I have some great neighbors.

But last night their 3 kids were in our driveway blowing bubbles . . . Y'know the kind you get from the dollar store.

Well, a bunch of the bubbles floated up into the carport where my SG was parked. This morning when I came out, I noticed a bunch of circular bubble marks. After work, I tried to clean them off. They won't budge!

So far, I've used mguires polish and detail spray. It ain't workin. I don't want to do any damage to the paint, but I obviously need something stronger.

Any suggestions?

RE: Blowing Bubbles!
Just try washing it with soap and water. Remember the old ERA commercials, protien gets out protien. Well, same concept. Those bubbles are basically just thin soap so that's what I would try first. I hope it is that easy anyway... Good luck.

I'll do it first thing in the AM.

Thanks for the calming advice. I think I'm a little hysterical about it right now.

She's not even a month old.

If the soap and water doesn't work, try grabbing one of the bubble blowers by the feet, dunking there head in the bubbles and using them as the scrub brush.

RE: Blowing Bubbles!
I had a black jeep that i washed with a wash and wax product that was supposed to dry streak free. Well it left little round circles that wax wouldnt even take off. It was suttle but definatley noticeable in the sun. I have no idea what it was, almost like it burned through the clear coat. I hope you dont have that problem but it seems the stuff you tried would of worked. Good luck.

If that polish had a wax base to it....did you by chance just add a layer of protection over your bubble residue?

Worst case scenario, a clay bar from your local auto supply store will do anything you could ever imagine when it comes to removing residue. It will cost about 15 bucks.

Good luck!

Yep, that stuff works miracles. My wife went through a drivethrough carwash once and then immediately parked the car in the wally world parking lot. She came home and it was looking bad, nothing would get it out. I was watching TV that night and saw the clay on a Hot Rod show. Got some the next morning and it worked great.
