My brother, father and I are planning a trip to the US, starting in LA, then Vegas, then Florida (no not on bikes, but there will be some biking in there.)
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of some good spots to go to while in LA or Vegas to buy gear, maybe even some parts for my Dyna? I need things like riding pants, i would love to find a place that sells bags for the dyna (not the ones offered from the MoCo) etc...
Also, we've rented some bikes while in vegas, so if you know of specific rides we must do, please let me know as well.
In the Vegas area, Red Rock canyon and the Hoover dam are "must do" rides. You can knock them both off in a day, easy. There are tons of rides around Vegas, but it's hot. take lots of water with you; very dry heat, and you'll dehydrate really quickly.
The PCH is a fantastic ride if you've got bikes rented in L.A.
check out www.renegadeclassics.com they have stores all over la area and a must do ride is PCH up to LA/Ventura county line for lunch at Neptune's Net
+1 on Neptune's Net. I don't live out there anymore but when I did I always enjoyed going there. Nothing fancy (had outhouses when I was going there) good food and usually plenty of nice bikes, cars, and movie stars on the weekends. You eat outside and have to fight with the seagulls for your lunch...It's firggin great. You'll love it.
