Called it in to the local police department and they sent an officer out to take my information.

Not sure how much can be done in this situation but I felt I needed to do something. We all know what the outcome could have been. Incidents like this has happened to me before but the vehicle was going in the opposite direction so I let it go since they missed me with the bottle. This time I had enough.

Okay, rant over. Just be careful out there. If they are not trying to run us over they are throwing things at us.

That's messed up, please post up that license plate number, and description of the vehicle and occupants........You know.....So we can look out for them, and maybe avoid getting hit by something . Also post that info over here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/southeast-35/

Driving west thru Dodge City, Ks around New years 1997 I had the pleasure of having an individual that looked exactly like Miss Piggy from the Muppets pull out of a parking lot in front of me. It was a 50mph zone and I had to really lay on the brakes to haul the car down. She then took a HUGE fastfood bag and just dropped it out the window of her car. It exploded in front of me, shitty babydiapers, beer bottles and who knows what else. Not 2 seconds later I got lit up by the Ks state patrol. He was coming the other direction when Miss Piggy pulled in front of me, had made a U turn and just happened to see the trash thing. I thought for sure he was lighting me up because I had California plates but he whipped around me and made his target. I felt vindicated that day. Still wonder what that whole deal ended up costing Miss Piggy.

+1!! I was behind some kids just before they turned into a local high school a few years ago and they just about emptied their back seat of all its garbage in front of me. I got the plate #, called the school, got the principal and told him what happened. He took away their parking passes for the year, and made them each do 40 hours of community service picking litter in the school's neighborhood.

Officer came to my house and I gave him all the information including the Lic. Plate Number. We have two cities here separated by the Red River. If they are in his jurisdiction/city, they will have officers visit the parents if they were kid's, or speak to the perps in person. Of course, it is a case of he said they said. I am hoping they can find other reasons to bring charges against them like alcohol in the car or drugs, guns etc. The officer indicated they could contact me later for further action, but at the very least they will now be on the police departments radar. As much as I would have liked to drag them out of the car and rip there heads off, I have to keep in mind that stuff happens when you try to do something on your own and I was not going to jeoprodize my well being for punks. A lot of people have guns in this area and are not afraid to use them. I was on a parkway and no one else was around us when this happened so. had I been hit by a bottle or lost control of the bike, no one would have know except the perps. It all happened in the middle of the day today.

I had a friend get a beer bottle into the front of his helmet from a car traveling toward him. He claimed he never saw it. Helmet received a soft spot suspiciously about bottle end size plus there was beer bottle glass in his clothing. It knocked him off of the bike and knocked him unconscious. He woke up in the hospital with bruises, soreness, road rash and with some broken bones. They never found or figured out who could have done it. No witnesses and no real evidence. I would take it personal if someone tried to take me out.
