Have you tried dismounting from the right .

I'm sure it would be awkward for a while but you would be putting your weight on your good leg.

I have always mounted and dismounted from the right because it is easier to pivot from the high side. That won't relieve the pain of setting the stand if the problem is your left leg/hip.

Put some bumpers on the bottom of the frame and rig you up one of those air bag lowering kits and just lower the frame to the ground when you park, that way you just get on and hit the button and the bike comes to you.

Go to a custom bike maker they have to be able to make one...has to be cheaper than buying a trike..good luck man!

I agree. I can't imagine that any competant bike builder would have a hard time with the fabrication needed for this.

I feel for you, pal. I have had chronic pain in both of my hips for years. A couple of hours in a car is torture. Riding, though, is usually pain free for me, which is a double blessing.

What a great excuse to buy a TriGlide! They may be over priced, but think a lot of fun could be had with one. Interesting to see more of them lately and wondering if some of the reason may be that Baby Boomers are getting ready to retire..

Ridley has automatic stands on some of their bikes. Find a Ridley shop and pick their brains.
