Well, I just got back from the doc's today and am putting the Ultra up for sale. I have not really been able to ride much in the past couple of months due to a knee injury. It seems that my knee is giving up the ghost when it comes to lateral stress, and they have opted to not do surgery at this time. I cant support the weight of the Ultra anymore. Aint gettin old a bi#ch. So if you know of anyone....

Mountainkowboy , don`t jump ship yet , the fat lady hasn`t sung ! Lets not go off half cocked. Wait alittle while longer and see what happens ......... Maybe you can see another doctor maybe theres a chance of knee replacement down the road ........ Just hang in there ! Don`t get rid of that old friend just yet ! Steve from Az.[sm=nono.gif]

And another thing you might consider if you can't hold her up anymore is a trike conversion. At least you'd still have the wind in your face!

Hold on to it if you can, the trike conversion may not be a bad idea. It might just be the thing to help keep your spirts up! Keeping your mind healthy and happy is just as important as your body...

Try a hinged knee brace. They are designed to absorb lateral stress.

I know how you feel ! I have got to go for an MRI Scan on my back, leg & pelvis to investigate a trapped sciatic nerve with the possibility of surgery.

Its getting more painful by the day when riding and I am desperate not to give in. Don't give up the bike yet as a couple of months might make the difference. I may be away from riding for quite a few months if I have surgery but I am determined to climb back onto the Hog as it's the only thing that aleviates the stress of work etc.

Good Luck

There's always the trike. I know it ain't quite the same but will still keep you in the wind. Hang in there Bro and luck to you what ever your decision is.

Yeah. A knee brace and maybe go to a Sporty. A Harley is a Harley. Just gotta change tactics. In any case, think on it a while longer. There must be something you can change and still ride.
