really don't understand this post. Why would he leave his bike if he wrecked it? Why are you being an azz towards someone who just had an accident and is injured?

never mind
You know, attacking another member of this forum is a really stupid thing to do. There are a lot of law enforcement officers on this forum including one recently retired one that has to listen to complaints about threads that get out of control because of stupid statements like that. (apparently the post was edited while I was posting this).

What the hell are you talking about...rolled up to the scene of an accident, called dispatch and started taking license plates of bikes at the scene. When one guy bends the plate up, he walks over and bends it back down to report the license number. When the dumbass bending his license plate up (obviously not the guy that dumped the bike) gives him lip, he makes the comment. I'm not seeing where he's being an *** to the dude the payed the price for stupidity. Me personally, I think the guy with road rash got what he deserved...not just one sides, I've gotten hurt doing dumbsh!t stuff to and just told myself...well, I guess that was stupid.
So he broke the law by driving to fast but the guy is injured..I think the first response would be to see if the guy needed medical help.
I would think the biker would be more concerned about leaving my bike behind that worrying about getting a ticket for speeding. If I had a crotch rocket I am sure I would be doing 140 mph all the time and that is why I don't own one. I don't see why anyone would be happy to see anyone injured in a motorcycle accident.

Obviously you didn't read the first post of this thread. The guys were helping the victim up so that they could take off. They would rather run than get caught. When the police get called to a bike wreck an ambulance usually gets dispatched too. Either way, his friends were more worried about getting caught than their friend's injuries. The reason for the harsh statements is that all bikers are getting a bad name from these idiots on crotch rockets. They are killing people at the Dragon's Tail because they cross the center line and hit other bikers head on. When push comes to shove there isn't a member here that wouldn't stop to help one of these guys if we found them injuried on the highway. I would do all I could to keep them from bleeding to death and keep them comfortable until the ambulance got there. I would also call the police and report their stupidity.
Everybody crosses the center line doing the Dragon's Tail. I wouldn't go near there myself. I use to be a member of a BMW Z3 group and they have a yearly thing where they go back to the factory in South Carolina. I drove by myself because I was leaving a day later and I am glad I did. They showed my a video of them all going through the Dragon's tail they were all over the center line and doing over 100 mph. And the day they went a Dodge Viper with a factory drive drove his vehicle over the side and a bunch of Plymouth Prowlers crashed.
I wouldn't take a Harley on there with people driving like that.
And have you ever seen what a car traveling 35 mph can do to a motorcycle? I have done 125 mph in a car. If you have a sport bike and you never do a 100 mph than you bought the wrong bike.
