So the o/l and I where coming back from lunch, following a black suv.as we passed the community park the suv pulls over to the right (like they were going to stop at the park),then make an illegal u turn in front of me.
I applied the brakes and kept the bike up right sliding to within a few feet of the suv drivers door.therein the drivers seat is a 16 year old girl and her girl friend laughing like it was not a big deal.
Got an i'm sorry with a smirk from the driver and the passenger kept laughing. WHAT WOULD YOU FOLKS HAVE DONE.
I thought about taking the license plate down and contacting there parents.
As much as I would want to do more, the license plate with a report to the local Police might educate her and her parents just what she and her friends do when she drives Daddy's truck.
At least then she might not do it to someone else.

Aloha,
Not really much you can do, it happens.
No matter what we do, people are generally looking for cars, not bikes.
I just got my road glide and had someone pull out in front of me on the way home from the stealership. What did I do, HIGH BEAMS all the way till they turned, they know what they did, and now they know I do too...
...but I don't think 16 year old children are mature enough to handle the responsibility of driving a car. (This incident is more proof of that!)
I'm sure there are more than a few kids out there that might be but in general, I think they should have to wait till they're 18.
I DEFINETLY think getting the license plate number and reporting her to the nearest LEO would have been the way to go.
Screaming, acting like a lunatic and scaring the **** out of her, while definetly justifyabe, probably would have gotten you in deeper doo-doo than her.
Yeah that was a scary situation, and I would have wanted to do something. That would have made me so mad, but..as was said, nothing would change. I think I would have taken down the plate number and made a call to the police if I was upset enough. At least maybe they will learn a lesson and watch a little closer in the future, possibly saving another rider.
I would have wanted to rant and rave as well, but like others have said here...it wouldn't have done anything but gotten you in trouble. I probably would have asked them if they could stop laughing long enough to realize that they almost caused a very serious accident....that I realize that they are young and having a good time, but driving is dangerous and not a time to be horseplaying....save it for the mall!!!! Then I would have taken thier license plate and let them know that I was notifying the police as well as thier parents. Even if you didn't notify them, we all know the girls wouldn't have known and hopefully would have been scared enough to think about thier behavior the next time they were out joy riding daddy's SUV!
A broken window would have been one way for her to explain to daddy. I bet it would have shut up her stupid bitch friend.
The dent i left in the rear door of the minivan who almost killed me and my OL in Daytona this spring was a good reminder to the driver.
before we go any further, dont harass me with your views of right and wrong. im not going to go too far, but a police report is a waste of time, money, and taxes in many situations.
