FYI, I'm the nerd that wins all the punching contests at bars, never met a man that could knock me down without ending up in intensive care himself, and I ride faster in the canyons than any other Harley rider I've ever met. These are personal truths until they are disproved. Is that arrogant?

Only "cool nerds" get in to "punching contests". The rest of us get into fights. I call BS on you ever sending anyone to an ICU. Just remember "personal truths" do not equal reality.

Because I'm a good test taker and can write good research papers does not make me "smart."
Being a "smart" person doesn't equate squat as far as being safe. Some of the "smartest" people I know do some of the stupidest chit. Why, because they have a severe lack in common sense.

Yeah but they sure as hell understand cornering and riding dynamics better than your average new H-D owner/retiree. That makes them safer to ride with IMO. FYI, you won't see a group of sportbike riders pile up like Brother Speed MC did. Why? They never ride side by side or tailgate like most H-D group rides do. They keep the 2 second rule and 1 second staggered rule. They break group rides down to "flights" of six.
All I can go by is personal experience. In my experience, the sportbikers are safer. Doesn't mean I'm going to sell The Hematoma.

Up until December I drove a truck locally all over Kansas City. Before that I was OTR. I have seen lots of bike wrecks or more like the aftermath of one.. imho it's about even. Usually a cager not seeing the bikes... as far as controlling the bike and just wrecking .. I think it's about even.. most Harley riders I know have been riding since they were kids. A big majority of them also raced bikes, either motocross, or dragstrip.

not a true statement. maybe not as many but it has happened here. as far as them riding side my side, I see it all the time around here. I've seen them run into each other one was trying to do an endo stop( not sure what you call it but the back tire comes up in the air when they stop real fast).. guy behind him plowed right into him.
I've seen plenty of videos of stunters crashing like the squids they are. I've also seen videos of guys on Harleys driving across a parking lot into a car or off the side of the road instead of making a turn. I"m just sayin... the sheer numbers of H-D riders vs. sportbikers will take a toll on the stats.

Tough talk from another keyboard commando. I have been a Green Beret since 1992 and I have killed people. I was just calling your bluff about your tough talk of sending people to the ICU.
