Munich Germany
With the exchange rate now, you will pay aprox.
$1.43 for one Euro. Gas runs about 1.25euro or so per liter, that is approx $6.95 a gallon soooo. filling up a SUV type vehicle will run you 139 dollars on the economy. The 60 euro shirt will run you 85 dollars, not going to get three tanks off gas out of that unless you rent a Moped.
In years past I would have said hook up with a Military type if you know someone over there and get some gas coupons but that has also changed, its all runs off a debit card system now and the card has to match the plate on your car, try and buy gas for a car with wrong card and you get to meet the Polizei: that has not changed they don't play. As many still find out today coming from the states lip off to one and you will meet the business end of their spring stick.
If you do go to the fest, get there when they open in the morning or you will not get a seat, No Seat = No Bier, they wont serve you unless you are at a table.

(I get to Europe for business 4-6 times per year, usually Italy, Greece or Britain, though once in a while Netherlands and Germany. I'm also a dual-citizen and visit my family in Ireland at least once a year. If you think petrol in Germany is expensive, try the UK, which is not in the Eurozone.)
