[QUOTE=soundman; Also, my girlfriend was about a minute behind me in her car, so I didn't have to sit there long for help to arrive. Ambulance ride sure hurt though. Not comfortable at all.[/QUOTE]
But on the up side, it would have been worse if your girlfriend was following too close and then ran you over ?? She would have had to look for a new boyfriend, what a hassle that would have been for her ?? Just trying to make you laugh, get well soon.
I can feel your pain brother,I too hit a deer on june 2nd. I was out for 4 days ended up with 7 broken ribs, broken jaw and broken left eye socket. Am still recovering mostly with a vision problem, but am back to work.My 1200 Roadster was totaled. The good news is I have a new Dyna Lowrider in my garage-awesome bike. Glad your ok hope you get back to ridin soon.
I feel for you I hit a mule deer about 6 years ago near Palmer lake Colorado. was down for two months trying to heal up. Bike was total loss but Im here and that is really all that matters
They're rodents, huge rodents and should be treated as same. Thousands of people die every year from them and millions of dollars in property damage.
What if any other identifiable group was responsible for such amount of death and damage, what would happen to them. They'd be systematically eliminated from the country, and so should those animals, there should be open game on them all year round with no limits until the population is under control and in the zoos where they belong.
Sorry for your accident and I wish you a speedy recovery. ( I hit a deer once with my truck, brand new avalanche, it did $12000 damage. ) grrrr.
Hey, I'm glad you're recovering and did not get hurt any worse than that! I'm also glad your bike isn't too bad either! I just had my turn hitting a deer Sunday evening. The good Lord took care of me for which I am very thankful. The bike did not do as well. I think I was a little under 40 mph and hit the deer broadside (had no place to go, they were strung across the road) Like you, I had on a half helmet. Glad I did. GOOD LUCK, I'll be thinking about you.
