My first road bike was green-always got me where I wanted to go. It was later that I found out what everyone else seemed to already know...The black ones are always faster!

I just noticed that they changed the color combo on the fenders, green over black or black over green

You know, green is a very unlucky race car color and it just somehow traveled over to scooters because they are so fast-there is no reason to think it is supersticious to ride a green motorcycle that is why I chose red.
