Doesn't matter how old the thread is,
why would anyone care what someone else wears or doesn't wear?
I haven't read every post in this thread but I haven't seen the post in which anyone indicates interest/concern in what anybody else wears. What I have seen is riders sharing their choices/preferences.
1st. Crawdad Cove Lake Meade. 2nd. Bonnie Springs, 3rd. Mt. Charleston Mary Jane Falls trail head, 4th. Sandy Valley.
After my last desert race, on 3/23/75, ended badly; I spent 3 months in the hospital. While there I met another patient that had already been in the hospital for about a year.
He had been rock climbing in the Mary Jane Falls area, at least that is what his mother told me. Because of a fall he received a head injury. That was a real sad situation.
Due to a head injury, he had gone from being a rookie LEO to someone that wasn't nearly able to fend for himself. Alive but not really 'alive'. On topic, a head injury wouldn't
know if it was caused by a fall, sport bike, or cruiser.
there is worse, my son works with a guy whose face was partially ground off in a motorcycle accident
I've seen that myself. Riding with a friend late one night in 1994, he and his girl hit a cow standing in the road. Launched her from the back of the bike. She lost her nose, upper lip and an ear. Myself, had a helmet save my life in a racing accident. All said, there are times I ride with a half helmet, full face......or none at all.
