Oil drain plug question

On an Ultra Classic with the 88 engine, what is the allen wrench drain plug on the engine block on the right side bottom of the engine at what appears to be a sump?

I know where the transmission and engine oil drain plugs are. I just was wondering what this plug is for. Anybody know?

i have heard before its a ssembly plug and noooo you dont want to take it out from what they say!! Strips easy I guess

H-D just calls it a "pipe plug" and that's it.

Looks real handy as a sump drain plug, however, I would stay the hell away from it. Stripping out that baby is BAD MOJO.

My 62 Pan had a plug at the bottom of the case. I never fooled with that one either. I love aluminum... except when it strips.

I just change my oil a lot.
