took about 2 weeks to get a check from Proggressive first one was made out to the dealer and i and sent to me covered all th H.D. parts...next check went to the dealer that covered all the non H.D. parts ...agent told dealer to let them know of any extas they encounter after they get into it. my wreck was sept. 4 they said dont look for it until x-mas

Progressive was the pits to deal with. Said it was gonna be 650 bucks to repair bike sent me the check. Good thing I didn't cash it as that would have been the end of it. Called them and said the exaust alone was more than that. Took it to the dealer and they quoted over 8 k to repair. had the insurance co cut the check to me and repaired it to new for a lot less that 8 k. Lots of extras now!!!
Bottom line don't accept first offer and do all the owrk you can yourself.

Yeah, what the hell is up with the tanks taking forever? Accident on Labor Day weekend, bike is at friend's shop same day, adjuster in/out, check written and signed over in two weeks, and they're still waiting on a gas tank, been nearly a month now for the tank.

told me painted part s 8-12 week wait from factory

sounds like insurance fraud to me. its no wonder that insurance can get so high.
