Default Ice be damned!!

Temps were sub freezing this morning, but I've ridden the stupid train to work for the past 3 days and I couldn't take it no more.

I hopped on the scooter and rode in, HAHA. Fckit. It was a little slippery, and yeah there was some ice, but I rode slow and made sure the bike was vertical when traversing over it. No problem. It warmed up today, it's now in the teens (50'sF) so the ride home will be spectacular. I can let them pipes ROAR.

Tomorrow, more fair weather is forecast and me and some friends will be rippin the highways. Should be about a dozen of us out, tight pack, lots of noise, high speed, it's gonna be great. It's been a while, due to the weather, so eveyone is anxious to get out, get the cobwebs off, heat up the oil.

Anyone else planning on doing any riding at all?

Just a pretty nice time to sit in the garage and cuddle with the bike!

I had a motorsickle for primary transportation back in the day ( late 60's ) and found that when it was icey I could ride off the edge of the road in the dirt and it was a whole lot less slippery. Still not much fun though. That when I decided that I was not a "real biker".

I see no reason to ride on icy roads. Does that make me a poser, scared or just someone who makes a good choice?

Hello Fellow Albertan: we rode from Hurricane UT to Green River UT. We have our pickup in storage in Cedar City UT, and have been loop de looping the backroads and National Parks of UT and AZ. Heading to Moab tomorrow. Note quite what you had in mind, but yes, we road today!

Hope to get a window in the snow and ice so we can unload when we return next week!
