everyone is talking trash about the 1/4 fairings on SOA. First off, IT'S TV, its not a documentary or anything, give it a rest.
second, does noone remember the old FXR Warbird kits? those were and still are cool and look somewhat similar to the arlen ness 1/4 fairing that SOA is rockin. ( i happen to like the way they look) besides, ride what you like and like what you ride. to each thier own.
p.s.
im NOT trying to start any arguments, just my opinion
Yes, the warbird kits are extremely hideous. The whole fairing thing is cool in my book. Hell I got one on mine, DX's just look like they where made for a good fairing and some T bars.
P.S. Half the fun of posting on these internet message boards is to argue.
The only ones talkin' **** are the poser wannabes. This style is for real, has been around a long time and will continue to be around as long as there are people that actually want to ride the holy fu&$ out of their HD's. I'm sick of hearing people talk **** about dynas and building them to perform and function well.
And you're right, it's a damn TV show that ACTUALLY took the time to research what's being ridden and built these days. SOA DID NOT CREATE THIS STYLE, THEY COPIED IT!
So, if you don't dig it...go watch WILD HOGS and dream about one day becoming a Del Fuego!!
I like the look of Hot Rodded Superglides with fairings, gotta be black, like Last Saints ride. That has been a cool look IMO since way back to the FXR (maybe further? anyone know?) Does that style have an official name?
Not everyone is talking crap. That is an exaggeration. I never even watched SOA till a couple of weeks ago. It is entertaining but very far from real life. I like the look but have no use for that cut off faring with that stub of a wind deflector.

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
I think it's gay how most people that don't understand this set up try to dissect it like It was about looks to begin with. I hear people asking what size risers should I go with? When you ride hard and split lanes going 95mph+ down the 405, you know what size risers and how wide you need your bars. does the fairing deflect wind, is it comfy? NO, it's not a Memphis shade, but it hides my radar detector and goodies and it keeps some wind off my chest. The mids keep my center of balance right under my *** and I can stand on my pegs when I need to. The ugly 2-1 usually hangs higher than most 2-2 and it makes a bit more power to boot. The lack of chrome is not because I think I'm johnny cash, but because I am to lazy to polish for hours. SOA did a good job copying the bikes, yeah the show crams years into a 30 minute show but, doesn't House and all the hospital shows perform miracles in the same time span.
