I feel the same about automatic cars. Owned one once......for a week.
But, just like F1 and high-end sports cars have electronic clutches, I would be interested in seeing that technology become more widely available for motorcycles. The problem is that the clutch is used in motorcycles in ways that it isn't for cars. But if someone invented something........
The FJR1300AE is the only bike that I know of that has an auto-clutch, but I think they discontinued it for 2010.
The bike has the semi auto function too. you can change gear like you can with a paddle shift a car using the regular gear lever or a switch on the handle bar.. I think it would benefit some riders who would want this fitted to the bike.
Racing bikes have slipper clurches which almost do away with the clutch lever to change gear in moto GP the same as race cars. A fully auto change can be quicker than a manual change and if CVT the there is np nee to worry about that. The problem would be is how much power it sucks from the crank.
