Weather men (and women) are some of the few professionals that get paid for being wrong MOST of the time. .............Another it would seem, is to be the CEO of Harley-Davidson.

I hate weathermen or weatherwomen. That is not a science and the idiots are routinely wrong. I now analyze the weather myself and make my plans accordingly. I know I am more accurate in weather change. The closest I have come to freezing to death was over weather reports being totally wrong. When gear is weight and weight is fuel---appropriate dress for the elements is critical. All of that is short for you can only carry so much for so far. We got caught far from shelter in adverse weather where a mechanical malfunction would have taxed our survival skills.
