1) All bikes coming with 6 speed tranny
2) No more carbs...all EFI
3) Reverse gear for the softail and touring models
Take that with a grain of salt but just relaying things I have seen on this forum
Why exactly would you need a reverse gear for the softail??? I can see it on some of the big baggers (approching and passing 800 lbs) I even had a post up about that when I considered buyin one. But I'm a weakling and I do ok with the Deluxe. Would rather see bigger bore engines and 6 speed Trannys.
Will be interesting how many rumors pan out.
Hey Daniel.sm what's the color chart for the 07 Deluxe??
Whelp, Weighin in at 150 pds or, so with a Bench Press of 200, I'd say I'm of athletic build...I had a Road Star that was a Heritage Clone and It weighed about 720 pds with nothing in the bags. Put stuff in the bags and on the back, and try backing up over some lil edges and curves it can be a bitch. I'd love to just turn it on put it in reverse and just move back at 4mph or so. Would be great if you got your bike outfitted. Now on my FXDWG. I really don't have that problem, but it is lighter, and I don't really bag it.
Yeah I guess I see your point....would be handy on my uphill driveway so I could back the bike into the garage. Mine weighs 720 or so dry weight but it's low so that might make a difference.
I would prefer cruise control though.
-Txswede was faster than me...I just saw the message now...
There are three two-tone colors from the custom color program that do not appear on the text but if you look closely on the chart itself you 'll be able to identify
they are:
- Elwood Blue sunglo & jake blue sunglo
- burgundy & cremĂŠ / gold pearl
- dark green envy pearl & light green envy pearl
I have the chart in pdf format...but I'm unable to post here...
I can add a rapidshare link..but I don't know if I'm allowed to do so according to forum rules...
Thanks for the color chart...looks like I'm glad I bought the 06 as far as colors go
Not sure I can even imagine this combination: Olive Pearl/Vivid Black Burgundy/Bright Gold
I just can't get a mental picture of the Olive Pearl/Vivid Black Burgundy/Bright Gold It will be exciting to see the new line up!!!
Having a reverse would be a plus too...I have been in situations that are tough pushing close to 700lbs backwards.....and as for the big bore...that would be awesome....would probably do a trade in with those options!!!!

I don't think we need reverse. If you need reverse what will you do if you tip your bike over? If you cant push it backwards you sure not going to be able to pick it up. Perhaps a lighter bike is in order??
Cruise Control and Six speed transmission don't do anything for me either. I don't even use cruise control in the car. Six speed might be useful if you were driving on the highway (which I don't) but fifth seems to be lacking power unless they made a more powerful engine I can't see it being useful.
I wish they would put anti-lock brakes and give the bikes more power. I would like to go zero to 60 in 4 seconds. Is that asking for too much?? I don't think so. They could also make the bikes lighter. 700 lbs seems an awful lot for a softail. A lightweight alloy frame would save some weight.
