Every week I've been checking the show "New American Thunder" and for a long time now they've been repeating the same 4 or 5 shows. And one of those shows was about customizing a Metric cruizer.I wasn't a giant fan of the original show as it played loud muisic when I wanted to hear the bikes and it was pretty much a show about Michelle anyway, but this new one is really pitiful.
I had my DVR set to record the show automatically but it got so lousy I quit recording it. It's more of a lame infomercial than a motorcycle show. JMHO
I can't stand that show either. I only watched it twice (gave it one chance too many!) and it sucked hard both times. I saw the metric cruiser customizing show too and all they did was put some foot pegs, handlebar grips and handlebar mounted speakers on it. Maybe a chrome plate here and there. All they needed was a phillips head screwdriver and 35 minutes of their time and they called that a custom job. You have to at least drill some holes, spend a couple of days or weeks and a couple of grand to really customize a bike.
If I remember correctly, the intro to the show said that the host was some Survivor contestant. I don't really watch that show either, but I guess being a reality TV nobody can get you your own show nowdays.
I would like to see a show featuring good rides in different parts of the country. At the end maybe a little critique of the bikes, gear, resturaunts, lodging or camping, etc. Maybe a show or two about camping on a bike. It wouldn't even have to be all Harley. Some dirt trails or fire roads would get my attention. A ride to and coverage of the Springfield Mile or a good hill climb. Just make it about bikes and riding and not about add on parts and I think people would watch.

I watched the new show a couple of times. It looked like an infomercial for Victory. Michelle was a much better host. At least she could ride; the new one can't.
