Default Does this seem expensive or about right???

Buying a new front fender since I'm getting new wheels and got a price quote of $150 to paint it basic Vivid Black. I've never had anything painted before so I was just curious if that price is about right or too high...thanks to anyone who can help me out!

That sounds reasonable... maybe even a little cheap.

As long as the color matches it's sounds good.

The cool thing about painting Harley tins, is you don't have a panel to panel match like on a car or on bikes with bodywork. As long as it's the correct color, it will appear to match, even if it isn't dead on.

Not that they usually match the cars dead on either... they usually blend to make it appear to match. You'd be surprised how far off you can be and make it imperceptible with a good blend.

Cheap if you ask me. I actually know someone who got his front/rear fender, gas tank and both sides under the seat for $2,000.

I paid $260 to have a Fatboy fender painted vivid black and pin stripped to match my Heritage. The strip alone was about $70, so I say you got a decent to good deal.
