Did your dealer search any other dealers for the exhaust pipe, have you looked on Ebay or CraigsList for a replacement or even put up a WTB here in our classifieds,, not knocking you or the dealer just some suggestions to try and find one, even a used one would get you up and going?

As said I'd be putting on something else and getting the bike on the road, hard to ride or sell sitting at the dealer.

i would just keep calling them back and putting pressure on them. But gonig with after market pipes is a very good idea. on both my bikes i had the stocks removed and aftermarket pipes put on before i even took the bike home.

We had a bike in our shop waiting for a y pipe (header) It was on or is on national back order...We ended up getting one from another dealer...I guess they are still on back order.

Definitely go for aftermarket pipes and get your bike back!

I have a stocker set.....Off my 07. Heat shields and all. Get the $$ they allowed you for the new one and I'll split it with you, shipped.

When a part goes on backorder, dealers that have that part in stock are reluctant to give/sell it to another dealer.

H-D customer service will SCREW the dealer quicker than the bike owner. Keep calling H-D.

I guess I got lucky. I wrecked my bike November 3rd, and I am getting it back on Monday. They had to order a tank, got the wrong one in, re-ordered, and it is still in less time than what they told me. I had V&H oval slipons that were damaged and the adjuster told me they would pay for what the OEM was which was actually more expensive than the V&H. I went back with the V&H. While they were putting them on they found out that the header pipe (Y pipe) had cracked during the accident as well and they replaced it that same day. I also have a Road King.

I was told they would call the dealer to get order info. then investigate and call me back. I have heard nothing, absolutley nothing. I would think they could take the time to call me back as they said they would. I have spent over 20k with them in the last 2 yrs. I guess they really dont need my business.
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. I wonder how the folks that used to have jobs with Buell feel about that?
Perhaps the thousands laid off through out the company and York, PA area are reading about your problem and are being brought to tears.

But that's ok, kick'm while their down, kick em hard, kick'm round the block!
