It looks like it will serve its purpose just fine. I would look at getting one of the cheap HF front wheel chocks, would make life easier while putting the straps on.
I don't really see where there is that much of a safety issue, use your head loading and unloading and you will be fine. Those motorcycle jacks and lifts are not fool proof either.

One safety issue I see is that if you try to ride up there by yourself and you lose balance 1/2 up the ramp, How are U going to keep from going over.?
Ur feet wont touch the ground and when they do U might not be able to hold Ur bike up because its to far over.
Make something to go along both sides of the ramp to get your feet on to help keep your balance if that did happen, Cement blocks could be used as they wont flip out on you.
Just trying to prevent an accident...
