Buddy of mine tore his 2010 SG down to replace with forged SE crank and it's stamped made in USA. BTW, we checked to see how true it is and it was perfect. Very nice cast crank. Good job Harley!
Did you guys know that the new bikes have Cranks in them built
in China with Chinese steel, and if you want Cranks made in America
with good ole USA Steel you have to pay harley an extra 1500.00
plus labor and tax.
did you know that?
That includes the 103 and the 110.
How about that?
Ok, first off, seriously, would that surprise anyone? Second, help us out, if I want an American made crank, do I get to order it from the factory with it in? Hmmm, a custom made engine, I doubt that! So, maybe I buy the bike, then let the dealer tear it down, split the cases and do a ground up rebuild befoer I ever ride it? I find that highly unlikely as well. Ok, I got no facts but until I see them I have to call BS on this one, also.

Maybe yes maybe no, but if you are going to make a statement like that you had better have some proof to back it up. I think you are just trying wind people up and dump on the MOCO and China because it's hot topic.
Prove me wrong!!
I think he is one of those people that wishes he had a Harley. Harley has to do like other companies to stay in business but a crank from china. I was born on a Saturday, but not last Saturday.
And...so what? You expect us to throw our bikes in the trash now?
It's the 21st century. Not everything is made in the US of A anymore. Get used to the fact that most things are either made, have components made in, or are assembled overseas.
