Built in CHINA:

But based on some of your posts, it almost sounds like some of you don't care where your parts come from. Sooooo........you'd buy a Harley built in China?
Kinda sounds like it. First trinkets and doodads for our bikes were built in China. Then it became more substantial parts. Hmmmmm..
So what your saying is China manufacturing is ONLY substandard ?
Canon, Toyota, Thinkpad, Yamaha, Nikon, Honda, I phone, and we mustn't forget mikuni(Performance Carbs popular with HD ), to name a few, are all SUBSTANDARD ?
I tend to buy based on product reliability/quality, NOT on where it was manufactured.
I don't feel like rewarding some inept business just because it happens to tout "Made In America", but can't be bothered to actually produce a quality product.
So just to be clear.
I don't care where the parts came from. (excluding "Slave/Forced labor")
I do care about quality.
I do agree with your point. No matter where something is manufactured, including the US, the product will be made to whatever specs the company provides. If the product is engineered poorly and/or low quality materials are specified, you end up with a crappy product.
