Thinking about downsizing my bike
BUT, as I posted, we had an 01 Ultra, and I have done 2 RK's like this, for folks. They LOVE them. Run 'em 'stripped' for commuting, then throw the 'extras' on Friday nite, GOOD to go, to Sturgis !!!!
For 'round town, once you pull the trunk and batwing, the center of gravity, drops. WAY easier to handle in "city traffic", IMFUO !!!!
Likewise, IF you like the 'hardtail' look, you can do a LOT with a Heritage, as some of the guys, have posted.
My BIG complaint 'bout any of the Touring classes ?? NO FRIGGIN' ROOM (6'6"
"IF" I am going to have to ONLY pick one, it'd be a RK, optioned as pictured, for 'variety'. BUT, that's ME, Ron.
OH YEA, FXs are for LI'L GUYS, who can't handle, a REAL scoot.
MORNIN', SCHUEY !!!!!!

You're right. The only ones I've seen is the 1980 version that I owned, and the ones made during this century. Which looked pretty much like the one I owned. I guess Harley had some kind of epileptic seizure back when that bike was made.
If I remember right 1977 was the first year for the Low Rider. Below are photos of my friends bikes, in each photo is his 1979 Low Rider.

Was the "Custom" another trim level (for lack of a better term) of the Low Rider, or was that all they had for a LR then? Like I said, I never knew they did that custom. And what was on the tank? The ones I love and miss are like my 1980, and your's, with the speedo and tach on the tank.
