I posted a month or so ago looking for input on a Electra-Glide Standard or Road King and have decided on the Road King. Now here is my next question!
I have found a new 09 Road King, Sunglo Red, Cruise but no security or ABS for 17,750 + Tax otd. Is this a reasonable deal? Dealer is about 300 miles away and has offered to pay for my gas to pick up the bike. I live in rural Wyoming and have been looking at dealers within about a 500 mile radius and am finding very few 09s. I know there are several threads on prices but I was having a hard time picking out fact from fiction! If all goes well I will pick it up on the 5th. Thanks for any input.
Just tell him yer gas cost ran $750 and should be good to go! LOL, just messin 'round. I'm not up on current pricing, but that don't sound bad to me. Either way, good luck and congrats on the new ride!
For an '09? I'm positive I can go to the local guy here and get a '10 for that price. But if he's the closest dealer near you and is 300 miles away, he can probably stick to his prices better. I've got @ 6-7 dealers within 65 miles of me so they have to be a little more competitive.
Make sure he's got it, before you go, or you'll feel like you have to have something, he'll have you hooked, and you'll end up buying a more expensive bike.
I learned a long time ago that there is always a better deal somewhere. If you are happy with that deal, go get it and don't look back! All the best to ya.
That doesn't sound like any discount except maybe for setup.
But, as has been said, when you dont have many dealers around they can stick pretty close to MSRP.
Maybe you could also get a % discount on any extra parts, if you will be lookin for any.?
But, I agree with Hammerhead, if you feel its a good price for your area AND its the bike you want... Go for it.!
Good luck and happy trails.
