I have a couple of HD branded jackets. I like them both, expecially the fxrg, but they're nowhere near the quality of Vanson. I'd love to get one, but I keep buying stuff for my bike instead.
I think the three best motorcycle jackets by brand today are HD FXRG, Langlitz, and Vanson, in my limited experience. I have all three as well as Schott, Brooks, and other Harley jackets. Yeah, I know I'm a jacket ***** and jacket poor.
The jacket that I would most like to be wearing if I go down on pavement is the Vanson. The US made Vansons with their competition leather are outstanding and they are cut for riding with short waist snug sleeve cuffs and form fitting. They also take removable armor, if wanted. Expensive new but you may find a deal on ebay.
Fox Creek...I would not buy from anyone that did not ask what your arm length, waist, chest measurements are. S M L XL XXL is just not going to cut it when you spend that kind of money. My Fox Creek fits like a glove!!!! Thick and heavy and the vents work on warmer days.
Also, nothing like getting something made in the USA!
My vest and chaps are Unik as well. Excellent quality stuff for a very fair price imo
I also have Unik leather pants but I don't wear them too often. They're great quality too, but a little bit too much "Village People" for my taste. LOL
