Default Need some expertice

Good morning every one. I just put together my 1968 flh and now I have a mysterious oil leak comming from one of the studs that holds the jugs to the case. Any thoughts on that? I'd really appreciate some feed back.

Base gasket? I got Cometics in mine. James is also good.

Beyond that, check a schematic to see if there is an oil passage under that stud (I don't remember), you may need to re-seat it.

More than likely the base gasket is leaking. Just make sure you have everything tight.

I kinda thought an oil passage may be the problem. As far as the gasket kit I used it was a cometic kit.

Did you use a torque wrench when you buttoned it up?

Have you ever tried to put jugs on a 1968 PanShovel? No room for a torque wrench or even a box end wrench. I had to custom make (ground down a box end wrench) a wrench to even fit the nuts. Too close to the jugs.

Get a "crows foot" put in on the torque wrench at a 90 degree angle and you will get an accurate reading.

If I do get a crows foot what should the torque be?
